Somewhere Higher With You: Cannabis Club Recap 10.19.2022

  Our first in-person event was a beautiful and inspiring experience. As our Communication Director Jay Nathan put it, “we laughed. we cried. we felt alllll the feels.” The community showed up and engaged in a powerful conversation on the realities of living under prohibition and the post-prohibition future we envision together for Appalachia. Folks shared their most heartfelt, personal and challenging experiences. We laughed and shared our love for the plant. We learned together and from each other. Zine on the Scene

Art is fuel for activism, and zines have been a source of inspiration and underground information for decades. These DIY publications combine art, writing, and often a call to action around an issue that’s been misconstrued in other media. A zine is a powerful labor of love and agent of change. Legalize Appalachia’s zine, Cannabis For All Y’all, is proud to join more than ​​10,000 zines in the Barnard College Zine Library at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York.  Zines in their collection are added to a worldwide union catalog so anyone around the world can order them via Interlibrary Loan. Registration is open for 420 FOR ALL: a spark to light the movement

420 for All: A Spark to Light the Movement is a virtual 420 gathering hosted by Legalize Appalachia in collaboration with Wellness Delivered. This gathering takes place via Zoom and begins 4/20/22 at 6 pm EST. Can’t make it at this time?
